Own a Piece of
American Energy Production
Oil and gas acreage interests generate royalty revenue from producing wells — without the work of being a landlord or operating the well. We source the opportunity. You make the decision.
How It Works
We Source the Opportunity
We draw on established industry relationships to find producing acreage that fits your criteria.
We Screen Every Deal
Every opportunity must have a recorded deed, existing production, and 90 days of revenue statements before we present it. If it does not meet our criteria, we do not source it.
You Review and Decide
We walk you through location, production history, revenue history, and ownership documentation. No commitment until you decide to proceed.
What We Look For
Recorded Acreage Deed
Documented acreage ownership with a deed recorded with the appropriate county records office.
Existing Production
Existing oil and/or gas production — not purely speculative opportunities.
90 Days of Revenue Statements
At least 90 days of revenue statements so buyers can review actual historical revenue.
Future Development Potential
Potential for additional wells or future development based on available information.
If an acreage opportunity does not meet our criteria, we do not source it.
Using a 1031 Exchange? An Acreage Interest May Qualify as Replacement Property.
If you recently sold investment real estate and are looking for a replacement property, an acreage interest may be worth exploring. We work alongside your Qualified Intermediary to coordinate the acquisition within your exchange timeline — including your 45-day identification window and 180-day closing window.
Whether a specific acreage interest qualifies as replacement property depends on the facts and circumstances of the transaction and applicable tax rules. Consult your Qualified Intermediary and tax and legal advisors. Texas State Royalties does not provide tax or legal advice.
